This video was really fun to make because I got to try out everything that I have learned throughout the semester and add it all into one whole video. Even with using all my learnings, I still learned some new things like how to add a voiceover to the video and how to flip a gradient to the side that you want it to be on. Also, filming everything and bringing all of the camera equipment to California. Bringing that on the plane wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. In California recording everything was really cool because I will be able to look back on this and see my family. Some things that I had to work through was all of my interviews didn't have mic sound so I decided to interview my mom again and use her as my main character instead of my grandma. This is probably my favorite project that we have done in class because I got to use everything I have learned.

I choose my story because this story was about me sorta, I originally had it as 2 cars crashing which is what happened to me. I was practicing driving one day and I almost hit a car. Shot 1 was an extreme wide angle of the car driving in to show that it was turning into the street. Shot 2 was a shot of me walking across the street, I choose it to show leading up to the climax. Shot 3 was another shot of the car in a wide angle to show it getting closer to the me. Shot 4 was another clip of me walking across the street in a medium angle,I choose it to show that the car was heading straight for me walking across. Shot 5 was an eye-level shot showing the car hitting me and my reaction, I picked it to show the viewer what had finally happened. Shot 6 was a low angle close up of the shoes, phone, and tires to show that the car had hit me and I lost my phone and shoe, I picked it to tell the ending.Ernest Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899 in Oak Park, Illinois. He was famous for writing novels like The Old Man and the Sea, which won the 1953 Pulitzer. Also, in 1954 he won the Nobel Peace Prize. He wrote a 6-word story because his friends made a bet with him for $10 because they didn't think he could write one. I also found some good six words stories that I liked. Born a Twin; Graduated an only child, "Wrong Number," Says a familiar voice, and Sorry Soldier, shoes sold in pairs. These 3 really made me think about the meaning of them. I found all of these on a good Six-Word Website.
In my recent class work I learned how to edit on Final Cut Pro. One thing that I liked while on final cut pro was how much it resembles IMovie. I learned how to work IMovie in Middle School. Having to learn Final Cut Pro wasn't as hard because learning IMovie had already taught me a lot of things. One thing that was had for me was making sure every clip had enough time so the viewers could be able to tell what was happening in it.
1. Sound Bites are a little piece of the interview you use in the story. It is the most important part of the interview instead of using the whole interview.
2. You need a camera that has a microphone input and headphone jack to make sure that you can hear the person you are interviewing. 3. Wide shots usually establish setting and shows what is going on in the story. 4. When you edit a wide, medium, and tight shot together, it is called a sequence. 5. When you are filming for your project get multiple wide, medium, and tight shots because when you edit you can have many options to use. In class my favorite station was the Technical Director and my least favorite station was the sound board. Technical Director is a multi screen board where you can choose to cut the camera or put special effects in the video. I really enjoyed trying out the different buttons because all of them had a really cool effect. Also, seeing my work live on the TVs made me feel like I was doing something and it was working. My least favorite station is the sound station because their isn't a lot to do with it. All I did was move nobs up and down and twist them side to side. Also, I didn't get to anything in the videos while they were live. All I had to do was watch. Some things that I liked about the iAm project was that I got to look back at my pictures from when I was younger and I realized how much has changed in that amount of time. Also, I learned how to use the trailer part of iMovie. It was difficult for me at the start but later on into the project I understood it more. Some things that I did to overcome this challenge was I played around on iMovie and tested things out. Something I would do differently is that I would like to of ask my family members for more pictures of me and us together. To see the iAm video click Video
